What Barbara Asked Me
when last i talked to my friend, Barbara, she asked, “what is the relation between what you do as work, and your life with your family?”
at first, i thought it was a strange question.
then i considered that there really isn’t any separation, with me, working out the communications between people
in this diverse group called “my family.” now, it also includes my Husband’s family, too.
i think all the attitudes and unworkabilities, anywhere, show up everywhere.
that is, Barbara, i think was asking me how they related..
how work related to issues and situations with family. i think intimately. they relate intimately, because the way i am is the way i am anywhere.
i don’t have one way to be at work, then another to be in relationship.
work is relationship. relationship is at work
