I Don’t Care That Much About It Any more
it seems when nothing is needed, thats when it just shows up.
when i don’t care anymore, then whatever i wanted, comes to be.
for years i struggled finding the perfect right basil seeds. heirloom,
from New Mexico, not hybrid, yes, raise them from seed, fertilize them fine,
water them everyday and watch them. are they getting enough sun?
do they have space wide to grow out?
is whats around them the best companion plants?
finally i cared so much, after six years i didn’t obsess any more. i got some started plants, threw them in the first place that opened up and never looked at them again. yesterday i went out to out some basil and there is a forest of it. its everywhere, tall, thick and growing vital, magnified, the most basil i’ve ever seen in my garden.
the formula that wins seems to be don’t care too much but have an intention.
i remember hearing advice like this when i was too young to practice it.
i was thrilled when first i saw the fabulous basil, then realized i really don’t need it now.
