Mother’s Day

we celebrated Mother’s Day, by going to my Mother’s favorite restaurant, Juniors.
the magnanimous part was, that we took Alex and Roberta out

for dinner, too, on Mother’s Day. it was very lovely. we all got dressed up, and went to an early 4pm dinner…the unusual part was we made a little gnome quilt for Roberta, as a Mother’s Day gift.
she rode with us, and first we went to Costco’s for a little Mother’s Day shopping to get gifts for Kim
in the Boston Goals group, who is also a Mother. we also purchased

a case of fancy feast cat food, for Alex’s cats, who needed now to be mothered by him.
he was happy to receive such a weird gift on Mother’s Day. i also gave away two quilts to
the TOV training…and i gave free TOV tee shirts to my TOV training, and they met Senator Leahy and his wife at the airport and were able to widen out the homework by including the Senator and his wife in the picture.

when my cousin Paula heard we were going to Juniors’, she texted me
and said, “your Mother will give you a sign, right as you get in the door,
that she’s around.” i said, “ok, thanks.” when we walked in the door,

there were rainbow cupcakes in the case. not pale rainbow cupcakes, they were bright red, blue, green, yellow rainbow cupcal‹es. amazing! my Mother made those when we were little, before anyone even knew how to do it. my Mother was the queen of cakes. she loved making rainbow cupcakes for special days. we sent flowers and gifts to Peggy’s Mother, who’s at Marion Manor, and sent numerous cards to many other mothers’, including my Fairy God Mother, Virginia, down in Hull, Massachusetts.

additionally, we paid Peter O’Malley to put on a Mother’s Day show for all the people at Marion Manor in Boston. Peggy did the cakes and cookies.

Peter did a show for all the people who are there, many of whom are mothers.

my magnanimity assignment was to go out wider with the generosity and also
to give up old boundaries. we decided to change what we said on the cd and put in quotes
“from New England for the Nation” to “from New England for the World”.

i tall‹ed to the West Coast about doing some teaching work to the Seattle prosperity class,
using technology to put myself there, coast to coast. i haven’t worked on the West Coast for a while, even though i do have clients there.
